Having spoken to people who had traced their ancestral roots, it dawned on me how little I actually knew about my family history.

There are plenty of Ancestry packages that you can buy online, but after realising they had a lot of limitations I decided to talk with Grace Ancestry. After an initial informal consultation I was amazed at the scope of work that was involved and how little I actually had to provide as a starting point for Grace.

The end result was fantastic, an in-depth look back at both lines of my family tree. My mother and father who are both 80 where astonished at the level of detail and have spent many hours with other members of the family looking through the presentation. My brother was 50 this year so Grace very kindly provided a second copy for his birthday which made a very beautiful and unique gift.

For me this is just the beginning, I intend to visit a lot of the places mentioned in the research and build up an even bigger picture of my ancestors.
