CONTRACT
By authorising Grace Ancestry to undertake research, you agree to these terms and conditions, which form the contract between Grace Ancestry and yourself. All customers must be aged 18 or over.

INITIAL ASSESSMENT
Grace Ancestry will provide a free initial assessment of your family line(s) and will advise on the possibility of a successful outcome. Once this has been agreed, then a non-refundable deposit will be required before any further research is pursued. The amount of deposit is dependent on the package that you have chosen.
Payment can be made by cheque, bank transfer or by debit or credit card using PayPal.
RESEARCH
Until I embark upon a programme of research, it is impossible to say what the results will be. Sometimes obtaining the information is quite straightforward, however, there can often be circumstances where hours of research throw up very little, perhaps because documents no longer exist, whole streets are missing from census records or, sometimes, because ancestors just chose to disappear. Please bear in mind that you are paying for my time regardless of whether I am able to obtain the information you are looking for.
Once all research is completed, I will produce the documentation in accordance with the customer’s chosen package. The customer will be informed when the documentation is ready for dispatch and a request for final payment will be issued. On receipt of all outstanding fees, we will arrange dispatch of the documentation. (Shipping to outside the UK will be subject to additional fees) All documentation remains the property of Grace Ancestry until final payment is received.
GIFT VOUCHERS
Should research be requested and paid for via a gift voucher, all terms and conditions will still apply.
ERRORS AND OMISSIONS
Grace Ancestry strives to produce research of the highest standard. Due to the fact that historical records were produced with varying competence; some may be illegible, misspelt, have a variation or surname or other error. Some databases which have been transcribed may also have inaccuracies. We do, of course, make all reasonable effort to check and verify findings; however, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of unreliable evidence and cannot be held responsible for errors or omissions that may occur as a result.
Should you believe that a mistake has occurred in our research, please contact us immediately, so that we may rectify the error if possible. If an error or omission is discovered after our final work has been submitted to the customer and as a result of research by a 3rd party, we cannot be held responsible for those errors or omissions.
If errors or omissions are discovered as a result of any misinformation provided to us by the customer, we are happy to arrange for reprinting of any relevant documents for an additional fee.
Grace Ancestry does not undertake any work regarding heir searches or any such work where there may be disputes regarding descendants of any deceased person. Grace Ancestry will not be liable for any work undertaken whereby this has not been disclosed or mentioned prior to the research being undertaken.
TERMINATION OF CONTRACT
If the customer wishes to terminate the research contract, they should inform Grace Ancestry via email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. We will then calculate the amount of work carried out prior to cancellation and will invoice at the Grace Ancestry standard rate per hour, up to the package price ordered.
REFUNDS
The deposit is non-refundable. The final payment is made at the completion of the research and is considered payment for all services rendered and for purchase of certificates. This payment is also non-refundable.
PAYMENT TERMS
Payment of all invoices must be made within 14 days from the date of issue. Failure to pay on time will result in additional charges.

All reports supplied to the customer are for the customer’s sole or family use only and may not be reproduced in any form.
